The ring is the visual result of an algorithm programed in processing. The algorithm determines the behavior of the used elements like point, line or triangle, but leaves a certain room for interpretation. Within the borders of the given space, the behavior of the elements stays unpredictable.
This ring is based on the reaction-diffusion model of the extremely interesting English mathematician Alan Turing. This model, which originated in biology, explains mathematically, for example, the morphogenesis of colored patterns on the fur of animals such as zebra and giraffe or the skin of mackerel.
